We created a unique 3D LED show for the 150-year anniversary of Swiss Re. Giant sculptures of heads, symbolizing the ‚open minds‘ theme of the anniversary, were brought to life with over 36,000 LEDs and more than 7.5 km of cables.
In cooperation with Lucerne Festival, we used the heads as a visual expression of orchestral music by performing a live VJ session. A technological and visual challenge with over 200 days of engineering for several thousand guests who experienced the impressive installation in Zurich, London, New York and Beijing.
Technology was key to bring the heads alive in a unique LED show experience: We developed real-time visualization software based on the VVVV framework. In addition, we produced tablet apps that remote-controlled the head content, and which were also able to paint colours on the heads in a sketch app for children.
