At the ECB Visitor Centre, we have developed a series of interactive exhibits that invite visitors to dive deeper into the world of central banking. They can explore the inner workings of the ECB Governing Council through an immersive, multi-screen installation, delve into current topics with dynamic content that connects global issues to the ECB’s work, and even leave their mark by participating in a photo station or a digital feedback gallery. Each stop offers unique ways to connect with the ECB’s mission and to see central banking from a fresh perspective!
Inside the ECB: Meet the Governing Council
This interactive exhibit brings the ECB Governing Council to life. Visitors can use touch terminals to discover detailed profiles of Council members, complete with video messages, CVs, and even social media highlights. As they interact, an impressive video wall dynamically showcases the Council’s seating arrangement and highlights selected members in real time. Combining cutting-edge technology with intuitive design, this exhibit offers an engaging way to learn about the people behind the ECB’s key decisions.
Your ECB Experience: Captured and Shared
Visitors to the ECB Visitor Centre can actively engage with the exhibition through interactive elements designed to leave a lasting impression. A feedback wall allows them to share their thoughts, which are displayed live for others to explore. Meanwhile, a photo corner lets groups of up to six capture moments with ECB-themed backgrounds, creating personalized keepsakes. These photos can also be uploaded to a large gallery screen, where they come together in a dynamic animation of the Euro symbol, connecting individual memories to the collective spirit of our common currency.
