We sailed the world’s largest Mona Lisa artwork. Together with the lead agency LLR, our team took on the challenge to perform a virtual GPS artwork for Vodafone’s campaign „Firsts“. Over 3 days, we guided a special catamaran boat – fully equipped with mobile technology – to trace the outlines of the Mona Lisa at sea. Users followed this event on our WebGL microsite in realtime, with live streams and interactive support messages to the team on board.

The Challenge
Is it possible to paint the largest Mona Lisa right onto the water surface with GPS coordinates? We followed Lasse, the main protagonist, through his project. In a teaser clip, we invited online users to support Lasse and leave digital supporter messages in a facebook application. These messages were used later to encourage and boost him on his sailing tour.
